THE THEME
Started in January 2025, the “90s vs 00s” battle is our high-energy battle of the decades where the crowd helps crown a winner – the 90s or the 00s.
It’s a night of dueling DJs, dancing & creative live performances.
We have two of our resident DJs (typically DJ K Styles & Chazz Rockwell) as team captains battling it out all night – alongside throwback drag & dance performances from Y2K pop stars and a dance battle powered by the Matineer crowd.
It’s one of our largest & most highly produced events at one of the city’s most historic live music venues – featuring an incredible sound & lighting system.
In short, it’s a damn good time…we wouldn’t still be doing it years later if it wasn’t.
MUSIC
A nostalgic, open format mix of all your favorite hits from the 90s-2000s with DJ Chazz Rockwell & K Styles – two DJs that have been rocking NY clubs for literal decades and were probably the DJs for some of your favorite nights back in the 90s and 00s.
They’ll mix between ALL GENRES within those decades all night long.
