Gen X has been blowing up our comments saying they need their own party, so we started one. The "Lost Generation" is a new 80s-centric dance concept by Matinee Social Club, focused on celebrating the sounds of Gen X.
Come enjoy an early evening dance party from 6-10pm on select Fridays.

When: Select Fridays from 6pm - 10pm
Where: Joyface – 104 Loisaida Avenue New York, NY 10009 (East Village)
An intimate 70s inspired cocktail lounge that holds ~100 people & features plush couches, premium cocktails, a waterbed, & a funktion one sound system.
Music: Mostly 80s with adjacent hits from just before and after as well. Songs that defined Gen X.
Dress Code: Usually we encourage disco chic at Joyface, but for this party, it's 80's chic if anything. If you're not one for dressing up, no worries. Just no athletic wear or anything too casual.
Run of Show
6pm Doors open
7pm Peak like it’s midnight
8pm Pizza is served (free w/ ticket)
10pm Party is over

Yes, at Joyface we almost always allow door access pending capacity.
That being said, entry is not guaranteed. Joyface only fits ~100 people and we don’t want to overcrowd it for ticketed guests.
Door priority will be given to friends of ticket holders.
If you have a large group, we recommend you wait and just tickets for a future event.
We recommend coming at the very beginning at 6pm OR later around 7:30pm once ticket holders have arrived.

Yes. There is one reserve-able space at Joyface that holds 10-20 people.
To reserve the space, you must buy the "Table Reservation" tickets for your group on Eventbrite. It also requires an $100 per person bar minimum.
