After the success of the Time Travelers Ball, MSC’s collaboration with The Stranger is back. This collaboration is less about nostalgia, and more about igniting your imagination. The Stranger is one of the most creative club experiences in the world, bringing NYC’s most talented nightlife performers for an experience you can’t get anywhere else.

So with no further adieu, we’re proud to present…

Enter the Matrix — NYC’s first-ever Matrix-themed dance party — is bringing our teenage dream of going to a rave in the Matrix to life.

On Saturday, February 22, Matinee Social Club and The Stranger join forces to transform the night into a late-'90s sci-fi, neon-drenched, cyberpunk dream. With mind-warping audiovisual DJ sets, futuristic live performances, and a crowd draped in black, it’s going to be our most creative production to date.

Whether you're dodging the ordinary or embracing the simulation, the only question is are you taking the red pill or the blue pill? The choice is yours, but once you’re in, there’s no turning back.

Dress Code: Inspo here. Dress like you’re going to a rave in The Matrix. Black, futuristic, cyberpunk vibes welcome. Neo, Trinity, The Oracle, or Agent Smith also welcome.

It’s a zany venue with a large main dance floor, stage, & adventurous side rooms. We feel it’s best to experience it as a surprise, but if you really need more info, read this Time Out article. For those from other boroughs or that never go above 14th st, our team is from Brooklyn and we assure you it’s worth it.

What is Matinee Social Club?

We’re a community of 30 & 40 somethings that like to go out, go wild, and then go to bed.

We host weekly dance parties all over NYC, typically from 5-10pm.

There will be minimal door access if capacity allows.
No, there are no table or large group reservation offerings for this event.
Legally it's 21+ to get in, but culturally it's 30+. Gen Z we love you, but this is our safe space.
Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event.
These tickets cannot be transferred to other events.
