For the “it girls, “scene queens”, and “hearthrobs” who want to relive the era of trashy yet glamorous 90’s/00’s diva pop celebrity, Poparazzi Persona is your place to shine. Think of a Drag Ball, meets MTV Spring Break, meets 2004 VMAs. "Strike a Pose, Be the Scandal, Own the Night"! Hosted by Matinee Social Club from 5-10pm.

What To Expect

It's a Matinée event, so you can expect to have a wild night that ends at 10pm surrounded by a beautiful crowd of seasoned aka 30+ party people.

Music & Performances

Inspo playlist – Poparazzi Persona is all about glitzy and glamorous pop, hip hop, and dance music from the 90s - 2010’s. Expect to hear original tracks from Britney, Mariah, Christina, Destiny’s Child, Ciara, Pink, Gaga, Katy Perry, and Paris Hilton (yes Paris Hilton). Beyond the originals, we encourage our DJs to get creative incorporating hyperpop and electronic remixes and beyond.

Performances: Throughout the night we will have next level Drag and Voguing Performances by iconic NYC queens Jamie CD, MAGENTA, and many more TBA… Watch as they waltz down the red carpet on stage with devastating performances and lip syncs from some of the era’s most slay-worthy pop divas.

The Venue

Matinee’s debut at Brooklyn's premiere queer night club – 3 Dollar Bill. It's a massive space in East Williamsburg that bills itself as the largest L.G.B.T.-owned and -operated nightclub in New York City. Dress Code

You’ve got three options, 1) Dress as an iconic celebrity from the 90s/00s. 2) Dress in trashy 90s/2000s brands (ie, Von Dutch, Juicy Cuture, Hot Topic, Ed Hardy) or 3) Dress as if you’re going to a 90s 00s high fashion award show (MTV VMAsa, Grammys etc.).

Celebrity “Look-A-Like” Contest: You’ve seen them on IG for Timothe Chalamet, yes we’re doing a celebrity look-a-like contest! This event’s celebrity is….BRITNEY BITCH!!! For those who come dressed as Britney Spears, we will have a moment on stage where we vote on the best, most accurate, or wildest Britney look-a-like and the Winner is given a very special Matinee prize…
